Honestly, a wedding photo booth isn’t always worth it. And I think that’s worth saying out loud.

If your wedding is tight on space or budget, a wedding photo booth might not be the move. Same goes if your guest list is forty people who’ll be done and home by nine. I’m not going to tell you it’s a must-have for every wedding. It’s not.

But here’s what I do know after doing this for a while in Kelowna. The couples who skip it usually do so for one of two reasons. Either they don’t have the room, which is a totally fair call. Or they think it’s one of those things guests will ignore after the first hour. And that second one almost never plays out the way they expect.

What actually happens is this. The photo booth becomes the place your uncle who never dances ends up in three group shots. Your college friends disappear for twenty minutes and come back with props on their heads. Your grandma gets a printed copy of a photo she’ll put on her fridge for the next four years. That print doesn’t get lost between grocery lists in a camera roll. It goes home with someone that night.

We include a professional attendant at every rental because that part matters more than people realize. Someone who’s there to help guests pick props and fix anything that looks off. They make sure the printer doesn’t jam during cocktail hour. After the event, we send everyone the private digital gallery. We don’t add fees for extra prints or gallery hosting. You can read what past couples have said about the whole experience on our Trustpilot page.

We’ve also got the only overhead Sky 360 video booth in the Okanagan. It gets a reaction out of people every single time. But even our open-air photo booth does exactly what a good wedding detail should do. We design the print template to match your wedding colours. It gives your guests something to do, something to laugh about, and something to take home.

So, Is a Wedding Photo Booth Worth It?

If you’ve got the space and you want your guests actually talking to each other, then yes. Pretty much every time.
