Tonight was the Best of Kelowna 2026 celebration at Red Bird Brewing. We were there.
If you don’t know what the Best of Kelowna is: it’s an annual community vote run by Kelowna Now. Thousands of votes. Hundreds of categories. Kelowna decides who’s best. Tonight was the night they handed out the certificates.
We already shared the news when the results were announced: Shooting Stars Photo Booth took Silver in Photo Booth and Bronze in Party Rentals. But walking into tonight’s Best of Kelowna 2026 celebration felt different from reading our names on a list. This was real.
What the Best of Kelowna 2026 Celebration Felt Like
Red Bird Brewing hosted the night in their outdoor space on Richter Street. Good venue for it. Open air, summer atmosphere, DJ Maple Jordan keeping the energy up all evening, Dawson Gray performing live later in the night. Kelowna Now was there to hand out official Best of Kelowna certificates to every winner in person.
Worth noting: Red Bird Brewing is itself a Best of Kelowna winner. We celebrated in a room that belongs to a fellow award-winning Kelowna business. That detail says something about this city.
The People in That Room
The Best of Kelowna 2026 celebration brought together business owners from every corner of Kelowna. Restaurants, studios, contractors, service companies, creatives. All in one outdoor space on a June night.
We got to talk to entrepreneurs who have been building things here for years. People who know what it takes to keep a business alive in this city, to grow it, to earn a community’s trust over time.
We’re a young company. We launched less than a year ago. Being in that room felt like being welcomed into something we’ve been working hard to deserve.
That’s not a small thing.
If We Are Where We Are, It’s Because of You
We want to say this plainly.
If we are where we are today, it’s because of you. The people of Kelowna who chose us for their wedding, their corporate event, their backyard party, their grad night. You didn’t have to pick a first-year company. You did. And that’s the only reason we were in that room tonight holding a certificate.
The Best of Kelowna is a community vote. Every vote came from a real person in this city who decided we were worth it. That means more to us than any award.
The community we proudly serve is not a market to us. It’s the reason we exist.
